2025 Programs & Calendar

Overview

We follow LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development) model implemented in major sports of the U.S.

4 Broad Age-Groups for Youth

  • U9ers (indicative age 6-9 years) — FUNdamental movement skills and motor skills in cricket 
  • U11/12 (indicative age 10-12 years) — Learn to train and play in games
  • U13/15 (indicative age 13-15 years) — Train to train and compete well in games
  • U17/19 (indicative age 16-19 years) — Train to compete and win championships

2 Levels of Membership: Players first become a member of the WCI through Basic or Premium

  • Basic — 'Free' membership for tryout, webinars, and other exciting activities.
  • Premium — 'Paid' annual membership ($120) for training, 1:1s, leagues & tournaments.

For Premium Members

  1. Group Training & 1:1s (refer to Calendar for details):  
    • Batting (grip, setup, front & back foot straight/ horizontal shots, power hitting),
    • Bowling (grip, run-up, load-up, delivery, follow-through for pace & spin bowling),
    • Fielding (ground fielding, catching and throwing) and wicket-keeping (against pace & spin bowling)
    • S&C (Strength & Conditioning) activities
  2. Games: Youth & Adult
    • AYL (Austin Youth League) games — for U9 (Fridays), U11 (Saturdays) and U13/15 players (Sundays) -- managed by game managers
    • USA Cricket Hub Games — for U11/13/15 players (Sat or Sun) in Austin; April - May 2024 followed by Zonal and National games in Jun-Aug 
    • LPCL (Lone Star Premier League) and CTCL (Central Texas Cricket League) or adult league games — for U15/17/19 players (Sat and/or Sun)
  3. National Tournaments 
    • Texas Cup, Jan-Feb, U12 & U14, Natural Turf (PVCC) in Houston
    • Austin Spring Championship (ASC), March, U12/14/18 in Austin
    • Memorial Day, May, for U11/13/15/17 in Dallas by NTCA 
    • Texas Youth Premier League (TYPL), June, U12/14/17, Natural Turf (PVCC) in Houston
    • Independence Cup, July, U11/13/15/17, Dallas by DYCL 
    • Labor Day by NTCA in Dallas 
    • Thanksgiving by NYCT in Houston 
  4. AMLCA (aka MLC Jr): for U11, 13, 15, 17 during Memorial Day, Summer Derby, Thanksgiving long-weekends
  5. Professional Tournament: Houston Premier League (HPL), and others, Natural Turf (PVCC), Houston

Fee Structure - 2025 Winter & Spring Season

Notes: Please read carefully

A) Balls, stumps, drill equipment will be provided by WCI.

B) Players need to bring their own bat & protective gears and wear academy/sports jersey & sports shoes

C) Ensure timely payment and registration for planning purposes failing which we will not be able to accommodate the player.

D) Annual membership fee of $120 is non-refundable

E) Sessions will be conducted on Round Rock Cricket Ground (RRCG) or Williamson County (Wilco) ground; so they will follow City & County maintenance schedule for field availability.

F) No make-up sessions for missed classes; cancellation after next monthly payment cycle

Q1) HOW DO I START?

Please thoroughly read the details of programs offered by WCI Academy.

First, register for 'Free' Basic Membership to attend a tryout session. And, then make the decision to become a 'Premium Member' of the academy.

After becoming a 'Premium' member, the player can start attending regular Group Training and Games.

Please note, separate registrations and payments are required for 'Premium Membership' and 'Group Training & Games.'

 

Q2) WHERE DO I REGISTER?

You should visit registration page directly to complete your registration for membership or programs.

Alternatively, WCI can provide you a registration link. Please request for the link via email at contact@wcicricket.com or WhatsApp on 512-200-3012.  (We respond to email or WhatsApp on the same day.) 

 
Q3) HOW DO I REGIESTER TO BECOME A MEMBER?

After you reach the registration page, you click the relevant link to fill the registration form. #1.1) for Free Membership and #1.2) for Premium Membership.

Please note that "no" payment is required for "Free Basic Membership." For the 12-month "Premium Membership," you pay $120.

Please note, if you're already aware of the benefits, you can straightaway register for 'Premium Membership' and start attending 'Group Training and Games.'

Q4) DO I NEED TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO REGISTER?

Yes. An account on our digital platform (by SportsEngine) will allow you to take advantage of tools (including an app) for schedule, RSVPs, messaging, viewing past registrations/ orders, etc.

 
Q5) WHO DO I NEED TO CONTACT WITH QUESTIONS?

Email us at contact@WCICricket.com your questions regarding the registration, payments, scheduling, group coaching and games, etc.

 
Q6) CAN I REGISTER MORE THAN ONE PERSON?

Yes, but not at the same time. After you register one player, the Review page of the registration gives you the option to "Register Another Person." Choosing this option brings you back to the "Welcome" page of the registration to start the process over again for the second, or more, registrant.

 
Q7) WHAT DO I NEED TO DO AFTER TRYOUT?

Understand schedule and fees with the Coach or WCI Support. And then, revisit the registration page to become a Premium Member and to register for Group Coaching and Games.

 
Q8) HOW MUCH IS THE FEE FOR PREMIUM MEMBERSHP?

For you, $120 for next 12-months or 1-year from the date of purchase of Premium Membership.

 
Q9) WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO PAY FOR? HOW MUCH ARE THE FEES FOR GROUP COACHING AND GAMES?

After becoming a Premium Member, you complete registrations for Group Training and Games.

There are additional monthly fees for these activities. As a subscription, $300/month for 2 group training and 1 game every week.

Players can also choose to attend drop-in session without subscription. (e.g., $30/session for Group Training and $30/game for games).

To keep things simple through subscription, you pay for "monthly subscription" (e.g. every month of 2024). You can cancel subscription on a 30-day notice.

 
Q10) IS THERE ARE CALENDAR OF DAILY/ WEEKLY AND MONTHLY ACTIVITIES?

Yes, there is a calendar of events by age-group. You will find the details on the Calendar page. 

 
Q11) IS THERE A CALENDAR OF MAJOR TOURNAMENTS FOR WHICH I NEED TO TRAVEL OUT OF AUSTIN?

Yes, there is a calendar of major tournaments outside Austin that we participate in. You will find the details on the Calendar or Program page.

 

Q12) ARE THERE 1:1 SESSIONS OR SPECIAL CLINIC LIKE SPIN BOWLING? 

Yes, we conduct focused 1:1 or special clinics from time to time. Recently, MLC player and U19 World-Cup winner Unmukt Chand conducted Batting Clinic and Harmeet Singh did Spin Bowling Clinic in Austin. 

In the past, Saurabh Netravalkar (USA Captain, MLC & Mumbai Ranji Trophy player) on Pace Bowling.
